Who you are and what you'll do

You are a senior Functional Consultant with Dynamics 365 F&O experience who can help lead a tenancy migration with a smooth transition to business as usual.

You will act as the Finance functional authority for the migration. You will run workshops, shape requirements into clear outcomes, and produce the functional artefacts needed for testing, reconciliation, cutover readiness and early life support. You will own Finance migration readiness, provide assurance over financial data integrity, and assure security access outcomes by capturing and validating the access model and evidence, while partnering with technical delivery resources for implementation where needed.

Responsibilities

• Own the capture and maintenance of impacted business processes, transitionary processes, and workarounds.
• Own Finance acceptance criteria by translating requirements into testable acceptance criteria and a clear validation plan.
• Act as the Finance functional authority by producing and maintaining functional design documentation, configuration intent and guiding functional decisions and trade-offs.
• Own Finance workflow readiness by documenting workflow and approval requirements, process flows, and operational workarounds required during transition.
• Own the Finance artefact set and ensure it supports cutover and BAU handover, including runbooks, checklists and validation steps.
• Own Finance access readiness by capturing current state and target state security role mappings and data access requirements for Finance users.
• Provide assurance over financial data integrity by overseeing data migration trial loads and reconciliation validation for Finance, including master data and opening balances where applicable.
• Own stakeholder validation through conference room pilots (CRP) where required to validate end to end process flows and stakeholder alignment.
• Own Finance change alignment by partnering with Finance stakeholders and change resources to validate user impacts and ensure communications and training inputs are accurate and actionable.

 Skills

Functional Expertise

• Strong Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) Finance functional consulting experience, including Finance process design and validation.
• Strong finance domain knowledge, with the ability to act as the Finance functional authority across design, validation and cutover decision points.

Delivery and Governance

• Ability to own Finance migration readiness and drive clear acceptance criteria through to Finance sign-off.
• Strong capability in requirements workshops and fit gap, business process mapping, and functional design documentation.
• User acceptance testing (UAT) leadership including test design, execution coordination, defect triage and business sign-off.
• Financial data migration and cutover readiness, including:
• Defining Data Management Framework (DMF) templates and ensuring financial data integrity
• Overseeing trial loads and conducting finance reconciliations (such as opening balances)
• Maintaining the evidence required for cutover acceptance and post-migration support
• Ability to produce clear business-friendly documentation, runbooks and checklists.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management, including the ability to bridge Finance stakeholders and technical delivery resources.
• Ability to translate technical design into business-friendly documentation that supports decision making, validation and sign-off.
• Experience supporting change, communications and training inputs to ensure content is accurate and actionable.
