The opportunity:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Testing Officer to join our dynamic Testing & Commissioning team at our Kewdale electrical workshop. This is a permanent, full-time position offering the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of testing and commissioning activities across equipment used in power generation, mining, and electrical utility sectors.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive testing and commissioning to ensure all products comply with technical standards, meet customer specifications, and satisfy operational and safety requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review, update and coordinate testing resources within the team to meet production requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance in conjunction with Project Engineers to team members when completing testing and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure all test equipment is well maintained and fit for purpose.
  • Ensure all test equipment is calibrated in line with manufacturers requirements and Australian Standard requirements.
  • Document all testing, commissioning, and validation to meet the requirements of the customer specification, contracts, standards, codes, and appropriate legislative requirements.

What are we looking for from you?

You will have an excellent attitude to teamwork complemented with the following:

  • Cert III Electrotechnology.
  • Extensive experience in the testing of electrical equipment and control systems.
  • Stand-alone power system experience (Advantageous).
  • Demonstrated experience in technical problem solving.
  • Electrical fault finding and PLC troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in diagnostic testing of electrical equipment utilised in utilities and mining and power transmission.
