Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer

Reporting to the Bayside Health CEO and serving as a member of their Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer (CNMO) is responsible for providing strategic and professional leadership for nursing and midwifery across Bayside Health and contributes to realising the aspirations of Bayside Health to strengthen existing partnerships, enhance access to care, and expand opportunities for staff and community wellbeing across metropolitan and regional Victoria.

The CNMO will:

• Lead the delivery of safe, high quality, and person-centred care across all hospitals, sites and services across Bayside Health
• Advance excellence in nursing and midwifery practice, education, research and innovation
• Lead workforce transformation in support of service integration across Bayside Health
• Build a culture of excellence, accountability and compassion to support staff engagement, wellbeing and organisational performance

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Proven strategic leadership within a large-scale health service and the ability to drive integration across multiple services
• Extensive knowledge of contemporary nursing and midwifery practice and clinical governance frameworks
• A track record of quality, safety and risk management initiatives that have improved patient outcomes, consumer experience and organisational performance
• Strong commercial and financial acumen

Candidates will have a current Nursing or Midwifery registration with NMBA, and a relevant postgraduate qualification.
