The Department

The Physiology Service (incorporating the Lung Function Laboratory and Home Oxygen Service), Respiratory Medicine at the Alfred is one of the largest in Victoria, performing a comprehensive range of physiological assessments using state-of-the-art equipment.

The Role

We currently have a Grade 1 Respiratory Scientist position (3 days per week, 0.63EFT) available until late February 2027. As a respiratory scientist, perform both routine and complex respiratory function tests, including the preparation and cleaning of equipment, quality control activities, instruction of patients and assessment of test validity. 

Qualifications and Experience required

  • Bachelor of Science/Applied Science or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in lung function testing is desirable but not essential, as is the ANZSRS CRFS credential.
