Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services. On 1 January 2026, Alfred Health will come together with Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service to create Bayside Health, a newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

The Department

The Organisational Development team at Alfred Health works to understand and improve the Employee Experience and build organisational capability that helps teams perform at their best. We listen to the voice of employees, design initiatives that foster wellbeing and connection, and support leaders and teams to grow constructive, collaborative and high-performing cultures.

This is a team with a broad and impactful portfolio, consulting with executives and leaders, delivering leadership development and team programs, supporting change and cultural initiatives, and leading our Level 1 mandatory learning program.

The Role

As an Organisational Development Consultant, you will design, deliver and evaluate team-based initiatives that build connection, capability and performance across Alfred Health. Working collaboratively with leaders and staff, you will use data and diagnostics to shape tailored development programs, workshops and cultural initiatives that make a real impact.

You will also have the opportunity to consult on cultural change, coach leaders and teams, and facilitate meaningful conversations that strengthen connection, curiosity, and psychological safety. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining creativity with evidence-based practice, and who is motivated to support people and teams to thrive.

We are looking for someone who is highly collaborative, an excellent facilitator, and confident working across multiple levels of a complex organisation. You will bring strong consulting skills, creativity, and the ability to engage others in building a positive, constructive culture.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Relevant degree in Organisational Development, Organisational Psychology, HR or related field.
  • Experience in end-to-end process consulting, from diagnostic through to intervention.
  • Proven experience designing and facilitating development programs and workshops.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching leaders and teams to support growth and change.
