About the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to join the dynamic and growing Dermatology Unit at the Alfred Care Group, Bayside Health.  Alfred Dermatology is a major Dermatology teaching, clinical and translational research unit and the tertiary referral centre for South-Eastern Melbourne, regional and rural Victoria.

Applications are invited for a Dermatologist to work for Alfred Health Dermatology in a Derm Procedural Session for a minimum of 1 x session 3.5 hrs per month, with the opportunity for additional leave cover sessions (up to approx 12 per annum). This position is for 0.03 FTE, for 6 months. 

Qualifications and Skills Required

Our preferred candidate must possess the following experience and attributes:

• Appointees must be legally qualified medical practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) without conditions, undertakings or reprimands that could impact on their clinical practice.
• Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists
• Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Dermatology 
• Meets Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Dermatology AND scope of practice "Dermatology Complex Procedures"
• Experience in teaching and an involvement in research are desirable
• Outstanding communication skills, including well-developed conflict resolution skills
• Ability to liaise well with other staff at all levels
• Demonstrated flexibility in problem solving and the capability to develop and sustain highly collaborative relationships with others/ other teams
