The Department

The Quality Operations Coordinator supports the implementation and maintenance of quality, safety and clinical governance systems that enable the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care across Alfred Care Group. Working collaboratively with clinical and operational stakeholders, the role provides coordination, administration, reporting and systems support for NSQHS accreditation, compliance monitoring, quality improvement, education and clinical governance activities.

The Role

The position works closely with Clinical Governance, National Standards Leads/Executive Officers, Program Quality Leads and clinical and non-clinical leaders to support ongoing accreditation readiness, embed National Standards into practice and strengthen organisational quality systems. The role also contributes to organisational change initiatives, including the integration of clinical governance frameworks, systems and processes associated with Bayside Health merger activities, supporting a consistent approach to quality and safety across the health service.

Key Duties and Responsbilities 

• Promote and maintain organisational readiness for accreditation against the NSQHS Standards e.g. evidence, improvement action plans
• Support and assist with maintenance and reporting activities required to support NSQHS/ACHS short notice accreditation assessment preparedness and other compliance activities
• Working collaboratively with the Clinical Governance Lead, ensure Alfred Health meets minimum requirements of the NSQHS Standards through coordination and implementation of the Quality Systems workplan
• Support National Standard leads, quality representatives and operational teams to embed sustainable quality and safety practices within local services
• Actively support implementation of quality, safety and clinical governance processes as part of Bayside Health integration activities.
• Support education and communication activities that promote quality, safety and National Standards awareness.
• Support delivery of the Clinical Governance Unit's quality and safety education framework.
