The Department
The Victorian Melanoma Service (VMS) provides coordinated multidisciplinary management for adult patients with melanoma. An important component of this care is the clinical research activities undertaken by the Unit, including clinical trials, cohort studies, investigator-led projects, quality-improvement activities, educational initiatives and related events. The Unit works collaboratively with clinicians, researchers, collaborators, and participating sites to support high-quality research and patient-centred care.
The Role
The VMS CRC role is to provide administrative and coordination support to the research team across a range of research and associated activities. Working under the direction of senior research, nursing and medical staff, the role will assist with day-to-day research operations and help ensure activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with organisational requirements.
Qualifications and Experience Required\
Essential
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing administrative tasks.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight timelines, effectively and collaboratively with multidisciplinary research collaborators.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to use a range of contemporary computer applications (i.e. Microsoft office, Excel, REDCap and web-based applications).
Desirable
- Good understanding of ICH-GCP in clinical research.
- Previous experience in a health, hospital, university, research or clinical environment.
- Experience using REDCap, web-based databases, electronic medical records or hospital administration systems.
- Experience supporting meetings, workshops, seminars, education sessions or events.
- Bachelor degree in science, health, public health, biomedical science or a related discipline, or comparable experience.
