About the Department
Alfred Health delivers a certified comprehensive stroke service with acute care being delivered on The Alfred hospital site and specialist rehabilitation and community services based at the nearby Caulfield Hospital site.  As well as directly admitting over 500 acute stroke patients a year, The Alfred provides tertiary stroke services for endovascular and neurosurgical care for surrounding hospitals. There is a 24/7 thrombolysis and endovascular clot retrieval service and a dedicasted 10-bedded Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) facility.
About the Role
Applications are invited for the position of Specialist in Stroke Medicine (Fractional) at Alfred Health, with 7 hours per week available. 
Qualifications and Skills Required
Our preferred candidate must possess the following experience and attributes:
•    Appointees must be legally qualified medical practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) without conditions, undertakings or reprimands that could impact on their clinical practice
•    Fellow of the relevant college 
•    Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Stroke Medicine
•    Meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Stroke Medicine
•    Demonstrated flexibility in problem solving and the capability to develop and sustain highly collaborative relationships with others/ other teams.
