Come join our Central Sterilising Service as an Instrument Technician

  • Casual Position
  • Salary Package: $62k - $69k (Depending on experience) + Superannuation

About us

The Sterilising Service Department (CSS) is an integral part of Alfred Health, providing a service to The Main Alfred Hospital Operating Suite, The Alfred Centre Procedural Suite, Sandringham Hospital Operating Suite and also to the wards and other departments.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for casual positions in the Instrument Technician role at The Alfred and Sandringham Hospitals.  Instrument Technicians work across a 24/7 roster and are responsible for the processing (from decontamination to the issuing of sterile instruments and equipment used in all areas of the hospital).

About you

  • Prior experience in SSD is preferred.

To succeed in this position, you will need to have:

  • Good communication skills including fluent English written & oral skills (essential).
  • The ability to learn new processes and tasks quickly and efficiently.
  • Demonstrated reliability and flexibility in your previous employment.
  • Minimum of Certificate III in Sterilisation
