A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Speech Pathologist to join our supportive team while expanding your clinical expertise and supporting the community.
The Department
Our Community Rehabilitation Program provides Home and Centre Based rehabilitation. The service's focus is on the provision of goal-directed, community-based rehabilitation for clients following injury or hospitalisation.
The Community Rehabilitation multidisciplinary team comprises physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, dietitians, a neuropsychologist, allied health assistants, rehabilitation medicine doctors, community health nurses, pharmacist and social workers.
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Speech Pathologist to join our Community Rehabilitation team. As a Speech Pathologist within the Community Rehabilitation Program, you will provide excellent client-centred rehabilitation services to clients both in their homes and at our rehabilitation centre. The clinical caseload is varied creating a fantastic opportunity to further develop expertise in working with a broad range of clinical diagnoses. Another focus of this position will be to provide professional leadership to Speech Pathology staff working within Community Rehabilitation Program, including involvement with service development and quality improvement.

Experience Required
- Minimum seven years of clinical experience
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team
- Capacity to develop innovative service models and programs in the provision of Speech Pathology services
- Demonstrated ability to provide high level teaching, training and supervision to staff and students
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to principles of continuous quality improvement
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and modify service delivery in accordance with evidence-based practice
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to promote teamwork
- Strong theoretical knowledge base and experience in the areas of neurology and gerontology
- Demonstrated participation in professional development relevant to the position
Qualifications Required
Essential
- Degree or equivalent in Speech Pathology
- Eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
- Current Victorian drivers license
Desirable
- Post Graduate qualifications in speech pathology, public health, management or other relevant area.
