The Department

We are delivering a major transformation program to standardise systems and processes—creating a more connected and efficient service for our communities.

A key priority is the implementation of a single, integrated workforce capability, including a central Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and enterprise-wide rostering solution.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Communication Specialist to support this significant program of work.

In this role, you will drive clear, consistent and engaging communications to support change and adoption across Bayside Health. You’ll help our people understand what’s changing, why it matters and how it impacts them.

Working closely with project, change, training, HR and business teams, you will develop and deliver communication strategies aligned to key milestones, building awareness, readiness and confidence across a large and diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver communication plans to support system and process changes
  • Create clear, engaging content (intranet, emails, FAQs, presentations and more)
  • Translate complex information into simple, user-friendly messaging
  • Partner with project, HR, change and training teams to ensure aligned communications
  • Deliver communications across multiple channels to reach diverse audiences
  • Support engagement through targeted messaging and feedback mechanisms
  • Monitor effectiveness and continuously improve communication approaches
  • Ensure alignment with branding and governance standards
  • Support go-live and post-implementation communications

Experience required

You’re a confident communicator who thrives in fast-paced, complex environments and can bring clarity to change.

Essential

  • Experience supporting communications for large projects or transformation programs
  • Strong understanding of change communication and adoption
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to simplify complex information
  • Experience delivering content across multiple formats and channels
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities

Desirable

  • Experience in healthcare or large organisations is highly regarded
