The Department

The Finance department offers a wide range of services including financial accounting and compliance, financial business partnering (including management accounting), financial analysis, decision support, and transactional services (including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Revenue Services (Billing and Patient Liaison).

The Financial Accounting position forms part of the financial accounting team. The team is very supportive, tight-knit with an inclusive culture and offers a flexible work-life balance.

The Role

The Financial Accountant role supports a wide range of Financial Accounting tasks, including month end accounting, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, lease accounting and employee provisions and deductions. The role includes liaison with a broad range of departments including ad-hoc reporting for management where required.

We are looking for a hands-on finance expert with experience in complex organisations, preferably within the health sector. You must be highly skilled in data analysis, accounting standards, and Excel, with a knack for improving processes.

The ideal candidate is a confident, motivated communicator who balances professional expertise with strong people skills and a positive personality.

Qualifications Required

  • A business or commerce degree
  • 2 – 5 years in a Complex Health organisation
  • CPA/CA qualified

Experience Required

  • Advanced Financial Reconciliation & Problem Solving
  • End-to-End Month-end Reporting
  • Specialised Asset & Lease Accounting
  • Australian Statutory Compliance (Tax & Super)
  • System Optimisation & Process Improvement
