Bayside Health is a public health service delivering high-quality care across every stage of life for close to 1.2 million people living in metropolitan Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula, Koo Wee Rup, Bass Coast and Southern Gippsland. We have more than 15 main sites, including hospitals, centres and clinics that provide comprehensive care from welcoming newborns to supporting older people and a full range of services in between. Psychiatry Registrar (Stage 3) General Adult or Addictions Advanced Training
Advanced Certificates on offer at Alfred Care Group, Bayside Health include:
- Generalist Training (automatic enrolment)
- Child and Adolescent
- Consultation- Liaison Psychiatry
- Adult Psychiatry
- Psychiatry of Old Age
- Addiction Psychiatry
- Psychotherapy
Advanced Training Certification can be commenced once a registrar enters Stage 3 of training.
Adult/Generalist training offers a wide array of opportunities including:
- Private Practice Settings (e.g. Victoria Clinic, Albert Road Clinic including addictions)
- Specialist Community Clinic placements (e.g. Homeless Outreach Team, Mobile Support Team, Navigations Team, Psychological Trauma Service)
- Neuropsychiatry Rotations (e.g. Acquired Brain Injury Unit, Epilepsy Clinic)
- Womens Recovery Statewide Service (WReN, IPU, Eating Disorder, Perinatal)
- Ngamai Wilam specialist Eating Disorders Service
- Adult Inpatient Unit including Senior Registrar leadership roles
- Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team
Other educational opportunities include:
- Weekly JMS Education programme
- Fortnightly Journal Club
- Fortnightly Research grand Round (AMAH Wise)
- Monthly Medical Case Presentation
- Unit specific education programmes
- Participation in quality and service development committees
Stage 2 registrars who have completed their mandatory CLE and CYMHS rotations are also welcome to apply.
