About the Role

Applications are invited for General Practitioners to work in an integrated and community-centred skin assessment and treatment clinic using the Beacon Model. This clinic will run in parallel integrated with a Nurse Led Biologics clinic an established Dermatology Specialist clinic at the Alfred Hospital.

The successful candidates will work 3.5 hours (1 session) per week, on Friday afternoon, for a period of 12 months.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Our preferred candidate must possess the following experience and attributes:

  • Appointees must be legally qualified medical practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) without conditions, undertakings or reprimands that could impact on their clinical practice.
  • Fellowship of the either the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine or equivalent certification from a recognised overseas body.
  • Meets Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice Specialty General Practice.
  • Experience in teaching and an interest/involvement in research are desirable.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including well-developed conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to liaise well with other staff at all levels.
  • Demonstrated flexibility in problem solving and the capability to develop and sustain highly collaborative relationships with others/ other teams.
