Department Summary
Monash Partners Academic Health Science Centre is a collaborative partnership of leading health services, research institutions, and universities. Established in 2011 and accredited in 2015, Monash Partners focuses on research, research translation, and capacity building to improve health outcomes. It supports a network of over 3 million Australians, including some of the nation’s most diverse and underserved communities. The Centre is structured around Clinical Themes and Enabling Platforms, driving cross-organisational collaboration, healthcare improvement, and strategic alignment. 

Position Summary
The Program Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of key projects within Monash Partners. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Program Manager ensures projects are completed on time, within scope and budget, while maintaining high standards of scientific integrity and compliance. This role plays a critical part in fostering collaboration among researchers, clinicians, and consumers, and contributes to research translation initiatives. Responsibilities include project planning, stakeholder engagement, budget tracking, risk management, reporting, and supporting outreach and strategic alignment efforts across partner organisations.

Experience and Qualifications Required
Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in health, science, public health, project management, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder projects in healthcare, academia, or research
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High-level interpersonal and consultative skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration tools (e.g. Zoom, Teams, SharePoint)

Desirable:

  • Experience in a health service or academic/research organisation
  • Knowledge of the Australian healthcare or research translation landscape
  • Familiarity with research impact frameworks or translation processes
