The Department:

Fairfield Centre is a purpose built  inpatient ward which has been co-designed in consultation with the PLHIV community after the closure of Fairfield House in April 2020.

This 6-bed inpatient ward is located on Level 1, Alfred Lane House and will offer a subacute model of care from Monday-Friday.

Position Summary:

The Associate Nurse Manager role will focus on timely patient access and coordination of care and is instrumental in ensuring the support of both patients and staff within The Fairfield Centre's model of care.

Together with the Nurse Manager, the Associate Nurse Manager is responsible for managing clinical risk and implementing systems and processes to improve patient outcomes in an exciting new model.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Registered as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Relevant post-graduate diploma or working toward same.
  • Experience in HIV services or infectious diseases highly desirable
  • Recent acute clinical nursing background in a relevant health service
  • Current and satisfactory Police Check Current and satisfactory Working With Children Check
