  • Permanent Full Time (1.0 EFT / 80 Hours with monthly ADO)
  • Occupational Therapist Grade 2
  • Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia via AHPRA to practice with the National Board

About our team

Alfred Infant Child and Youth Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (ICYAMHWS) is friendly to infants, children, young people and their families/carers.

We provide accessible mental health services inclusive of family, friends and support networks.

We are a specialist, multi-disciplinary and intensive care mental health service incorporating the lived and living experience of family peer specialists and youth peer workers.

Our service is divided into two streams 0-11 and 12-26 years, and includes specialist services in the areas of perinatal care, neurodevelopmental presentations, eating disorders and outreach support.

What you’ll be doing

  • Ongoing position based in the EIMOS (Early Intervention Mobile Outreach Service) team at Alfred ICYAMHWS, Moorabbin.
  • Role involves outreach to children, young people, their families, and stakeholders in various outreach settings.
  • Requires experience in:
  • Assessment and intervention.
  • Clinical, family, and group work.
  • Commitment to high standards of client care and family support.
  • Participation in service development planning, implementation, and evaluation activities.
  • Collaboration with the Alfred ICYAMHWS and headspace Southern Melbourne for coordinated transitions and service integration.
  • Current operations are within office hours.
  • Future plans to expand ICYAMHWS services to after-hours and weekends.
  • Position will require working rostered shifts across weekdays, after-hours, and weekends when service expansion occurs.

About you

Approved tertiary qualifications and current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia via AHPRA to practice with the National Board.
