Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

About the Team 

The Clinical Trials Pharmacy team provides services to The Alfred, Caulfield Hospital, Sandringham Hospital and Melbourne Sexual Health Centre. The service is managed by Good Clinical Practice (GCP) trained, experienced pharmacists and technicians and currently supports nearly 400 drug trials across all phases of drug development. Our team has a unique combination of clinical trial expertise coupled with strong education and research skills. This combination means we’ve been able to develop a pharmacy clinical trial credentialing program that brings together evidenced-based adult learning principles with contemporary service delivery that doesn’t exist anywhere else within pharmacy in Australia. 

About the Role 

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our clinical trials team on a full-time, permanent basis. To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for advancing patient care and being at the forefront of clinical research, innovation and the safe delivery of investigational therapies that shape the future of medicine. You will work as part of the broader clinical trials team, closely collaborating with the Senior and Lead Pharmacists, as well as with the broader Pharmacy Operations team and aseptic suite to deliver excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications/Experience 

  • Registered pharmacist with general pharmacy registration with AHPRA and at least 2 years experience post internship 
  • Post graduate qualification in pharmacy, particularly with a research component highly desirable 
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience in manufacturing, aseptic preparation, clinical pharmacy and/or clinical trial pharmacy highly desirable
