POSITION:
The Grade 3 Senior Food Service Dietitian provides specialist knowledge and skills in the area of food service nutrition. This position is based within Alfred Health Support Services (AHSS) and supports Food Services on all campuses (The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham Hospitals and Ngamai Wilam). The Senior Food Service Dietitian is responsible for ensuring compliance and adherence to relevant dietary and food safety standards as well as supporting the development, innovation and sustainability of Food Services at Alfred Health. They actively promote a positive and productive relationship between AHSS, Dietetics and Nutrition, Speech Pathology, Patient Experience and Nursing Services.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- At least 7 years’ experience, ideally in a tertiary hospital with broad knowledge of clinical nutrition complexities and associated therapeutic dietary interventions and hospital systems.
- Specialist experience in food service dietetics and in-depth knowledge of current food service systems.
- Working knowledge, experience and competency with electronic menu management systems.
- Experience in leadership and project management, including implementation, evaluation and sustainability.
- Experience in supervision of staff and students.
- Post-graduate qualifications at Masters level (or working towards) in Nutrition, Health Services Management/Administration/ Business Management, Public Health or Research or holds Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian Credential.
- Possesses qualifications providing eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians’ Australia (DA).
- Current driver’s Licence.
