Alfred Health

Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services.

This is one year part time fellowship in Cardiac Pacing (2x 0.5 FTE or 1x 1.0 FTE). There are up to two positions available. For an exceptional candidate we would consider making it a full time fellowship.

This exciting position offers training in all aspects of pacing (bradycardia, cardiac resynchronisation, defibrillator, subcutaneous defibrillator, leadless and conduction system). The individual will be expected to lead research and quality improvement in their year at the Alfred. It is expected that the candidate achieve international accreditation in CRM device programming by the end of the year (CCDS, EHRA or HRUK). The candidate will also be responsible in preparing patients for device implant, teaching advanced trainees on the wards and participating in the outpatient clinic. There will be an expectation of supporting an Alfred affiliated regional clinic every fortnight.

Applicants must have completed at least three years of Advanced Training in Clinical Cardiology and have completed their FRACP (Part 2) or a recognized equivalent. Candidates will need AHPRA registration.
