The Department

The role will work closely with both the Interconnected Care Team, broader Operational teams and will report professionally through to the Digital Health Division. The Digital Health Division is responsible for enabling clinical staff to deliver timely, quality care to our patients and carers through innovative use of information technologies, and through strategic management of information and data across the organisation.

Position Summary

Alfred Health is transforming approaches to healthcare delivery through our Interconnected Care Program. We aim to optimise patient care coordination, improve patient access, maximise resource utilisation, and enhance the overall healthcare experience for both patients and employees through innovative technologies, process enhancements, and new care models.We're looking for a dynamic and passionate Interconnected Care Digital Health Lead to support the operationalisation of new interconnected care models.

The Digital Health Lead will progress the integration of digital health systems used across our healthcare facilities and in patient homes, ensuring high-quality patient care through innovative and accessible digital solutions, they will support the development of innovative care models, escalation processes and patient safety protocols that ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. The primary focus will be operationalising acute care pathways both within and outside the hospital setting, including the implementation of virtual care digital solutions to facilitate efficient and effective healthcare delivery beyond traditional hospital settings.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end project management for Alfred Health Digital Health aspects of the Interconnected Care Program 
  • Prepare and manage a master plan for the Interconnected Care portfolio of digital projects, including scope, timelines, key milestones, and dependencies between projects and working groups.
  • Develop an implementation and support plan (deployment plan). This plan will include Digital Health projects and coordination of business-managed ICT involvement as required.

  •          Demonstrated experience in project management within a healthcare setting, focusing on implementing technology-driven care solutions.
  •          Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and lead through change.
  •          A commitment to delivering patient-centred care and the ability to operationalise complex care pathways in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications and  Experience required

  • Qualification in Project Management and an appropriate health qualification
  • Experience in e-health services operational or project management is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills in managing multiple stakeholders and teams across concurrent streams of development work 
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written 
  • Experience in project management in complex environments is essential
