Based at St Kilda Road Clinic - Community Mental Health Services
Alfred Psychiatry sits within the Division of Ambulatory Services & Mental Health at The Alfred. It comprises both adult and child & adolescent services and a research unit. There is an important relationship with the aged mental health service at Caulfield General Medical Centre (CGMC). The Alfred Psychology Department includes Clinical Psychology & Clinical Neuropsychology. Psychology Services report both to the Director of Psychiatry and the Manager of Allied Health. The Community Psychiatry program includes Continuing Care Teams (CCT) at St. Kilda Road Clinic & Waiora Clinics, the Mobile Support & Treatment Service (MSTS), the Community Care Unit (CCU), The Homeless Team and the Primary Mental Health Team.
The Senior Clinical Psychologist will provide clinical services to clients of the Junction Continuing Care Team, consultation to other clinical staff and participate in the DBT & psychology group program. Active participation in Alfred Psychology Department & St Kilda Road Clinic CMHS activities such as professional development sessions & case presentations is expected. The Senior Clinical Psychologist will also provide professional leadership to psychologists working in the Community Program of Alfred Psychiatry.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Registration under the Health Professionals Act 2005.
Master or doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology.
Eligible for membership of the APS and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists
Membership of the APS and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.
