AGA has more than 40 years’ experience in training people and placing them into employment, with a focus on apprenticeships and traineeships. AGA partners with the MAS National consortium to deliver Apprenticeship Network Provider services in Victoria.

About the role:

AGA are now looking for a mechanically minded car enthusiast to dive into an Automotive Apprentice at a well known car dealership located in Richmond. This role is a full time 4 year Apprenticeship, 38 hours a week.

An Light Vehicle Automotive Technology Apprentice will undertake servicing and repairing cars: including engines, brakes, tyres, electronics, wheel balancing and alignment, diagnostics, fuel systems and transmissions.

About you:

  • Must be an Australian citizen/and or Permanent Resident 
  • Eligibility criteria applies to prior qualifications
  • Commit to Full Time 4 year apprenticeship 
  • Drivers licence and own car is preferred
  • Attend accredited RTO/TAFE training (Paid for by AGA)
  • Undergo a hearing test 
  • Mechanically minded

What you will do:

  • Road test and provide feedback to workshop manager 
  • Learn how to service and repair and maintain motor vehicles - mostly of the Volkswagen brand
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and tidy workshop
  • Work safely at all times
  • Attend trade school to complete the Certificate III
  • Complete relevant paperwork such as repair orders etc as per workplace processes
  • Work as part of a team to get the work done each day
