LiveHire & Dr Mike Haywood @ QLD HR Leaders Summit

The 2018 QLD HR Leaders Summit at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre was an event to be remembered. The summit aims to bring leaders together to create conversations and generate discussions on the future of the workforce, and it didn’t disappoint.

LiveHire Co-Founder & Growth Director, Dr. Mike Haywood, presented on staying agile and relevant in the current transformative and disruptive tech environment.

In a world where company lifespans keep shrinking, it’s predicted that in the next 15 years, more than half of the Fortune500 companies will disappear.

“The best tech brings humans closer together #AllAboutRelationships”

– Dr. Mike Haywood.

Explaining that the way that we’ve been taught to hire is perfectly suited to a world that no longer exists, Mike emphasised the importance of creating diverse workforces in building innovative growth.

He explained:

56% of hires from companies using LiveHire Talent Communities are female #Diversity Matters

With a focus on the effect of candidate experience on brand reputation, the importance of providing a positive candidate experience was explored. Mike explained:

“More than half (56%) of professionals say they would likely cease being a customer of a company that provided them with a bad candidate experience”
