Due to an overseas departure, the WSP Building Services team is seeking an Associate Director, Hydraulics to lead complex projects, inspire technical excellence, and contribute to the strategic direction of our hydraulics discipline. This rare opportunity is ideal for someone who blends deep technical expertise with visionary leadership and a passion for sustainable design.

As Associate Director, Hydraulics, You Will:
- Lead and oversee hydraulic engineering design across major projects, ensuring technical excellence and innovation.
- Drive strategic growth of the hydraulics discipline, contributing to business development and client engagement.
- Mentor and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and performance.
- Represent WSP in client meetings, industry forums, and technical panels, showcasing thought leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other disciplines to deliver integrated building services solutions.
- Ensure quality assurance and compliance with industry standards, while pushing boundaries to set new benchmarks.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor of Mechanical or Civil Engineering;
- High-level specialist expertise in hydraulic building services engineering and design documentation;
- 15+ years’ industry experience on Australian building services projects, ideally in a consulting environment;
- Well versed in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging and scale and sector, e.g. commercial, defence, transport and education;
- Strong client relationship management and project management skills;
- Capacity to lead, train and mentor junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects;
- Strong leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills;
- Strong knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes (AS/NZS 3500, NCC etc.);
- Understanding of BIM, NavisWorks and Revit MEP (advantageous).
