Shape the Future of Project Delivery with WSP

Due to several significant project wins, our Brisbane team is expanding and looking for a Project Controller to join our team. This is your chance to work on complex, high-impact projects and contribute to industry-leading outcomes.

About the Role

As a Project Controller, you’ll work closely with Project Delivery Executives and Project Managers to define goals, manage budgets and schedules, and drive performance across all phases of project execution—from planning and procurement to progress analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project WBS, schedules (Primavera P6), budgets, and baselines
  • Monitor progress, expenditure, and forecasts to completion
  • Conduct variance analysis for cost and schedule, recommending corrective actions
  • Apply Earned Value Management in line with Australian Standards
  • Manage cost control, invoicing, procurement, and contracts
  • Support project change management and risk/opportunity tracking
  • Facilitate progress review meetings and generate performance reports
  • Oversee document control systems and ensure compliance

About you

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Controller, ideally with engineering exposure
  • Proven experience in fee estimates, tenders, contracts, claims, variations, and performance measurement
  • Strong skills in scheduling (Primavera P6), cost engineering, and reporting
  • Ability to work independently with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with a commitment to safety
  • PB PM training/accreditation or equivalent
  • Familiarity with industry associations (PMI, AIPM, ACES) is a plus
  • Full working rights in Australia
