As a Senior Integration Developer, you’ll lead the design, delivery, and evolution of modern integration solutions across the University’s digital ecosystem. Working across functional teams, you’ll bring expertise in developing and maintaining state of the art integration solutions, working with platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Fabric.
Reporting into Digital Technology Solutions (DTS), which leads the University’s digital transformation, you’ll play a pivotal role in diagnosing complex issues, modernising systems, and mentoring DevOps engineers, while ensuring our platforms support excellence in education, research, and community engagement.
What you’ll do:
- Work in sprints to rapidly develop and maintain integration solutions using MuleSoft and AWS technologies to support enterprise applications and services.
- Enable data services and analytics capabilities through integration with Microsoft Fabric, supporting organisational decision-making and research.
- Provide expert advice and collaborate with DTS colleagues and stakeholders to define integration requirements and align technical solutions with business needs.
- Investigate, design, and implement reusable solutions to support efficient and secure data flow.
- Lead resolution of complex technical issues and ensure secure, efficient system operations.
- Mentor and guide DevOps Engineers, building team capability and fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.
- Enhance efficiency through automation, reusable APIs, and innovative processes.
- Champion cyber security, embedding best practice security principles in all activities.
- Contribute to the continuous evolution of the University's integration architecture and standards.
What we’re looking for
- Depth of expertise delivering integration solutions using MuleSoft and AWS (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, Step Functions).
- Strong background in designing and building APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and system design.
- Experience working with or integrating into Microsoft Fabric or similar enterprise data platforms.
- Ability to lead and mentor teams, building capability and fostering collaboration.
- Proven track record of delivering secure, reliable, and scalable technology solutions.
- Awareness of contemporary Agile and DevOps frameworks and evolving best practices.
This full-time position is a fixed term role at a HEW 8 Higher Education Level located at Callaghan Campus until November 2026.
