The Role

We are seeking a full time or part time Trade Mark Attorney (Lawyer) to join our growing IP team, led by Executive Director, Tom Rinder.

You will be given the opportunity to work in a diverse role, across sectors and clients of various sizes. Because we have a large client base, the work is varied, with a primary focus on Australian and New Zealand trade mark matters for our clients within an in-house style environment. There will also be an opportunity to work on international matters from time to time.

We offer flexible working, combination of working from the office and home, with the support of the team from either.  

About You

We are seeking someone;

  • Who is a registered Australian Trade Mark attorney and/or admitted Trade Mark lawyer;
  • have 3+ years post-qualification experience in Trade Marks.
  • Have a strong technical & practical knowledge of trade mark regulations, the prosecution process, including responding to examination reports and managing letters of consent. 
  • Have an understanding of opposition and non-use proceedings and the enforcement of trade mark rights;
  • Who is a self-starter who can work quickly, be adaptable, communicate clearly and be passionate about client experience.
  • Who has a strong attention to detail, solid time management skills with an ability to multi-task and meet regulatory deadlines
  • With the ability to work autonomously (with plenty of support when needed) but also enjoys working in a team.
