Our client, one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada, has an immediate need for a BW/4HANA SAP Consultant. This is a contract position for one (1) year located in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Description

This resource will support the Stamina Project, which is a project for reporting & BI capabilities in SAP EAM (Enterprise Asset Management). The ideal candidate will be a techno-functional SAP consultant from SAP BW background who has experience with SAP EAM.

Accountabilities

  • Perform integration, design, and implementation of various SAP business warehouse and business intelligence projects by determining business requirements and feasible technical options to support business operations in achieving ’s organizational objectives.
  • Review functional specification documents and present the proposed technical design to the development leads for review using excellent analytical skills and communication skills to ensure that the design meets ’s business requirements.
  • Develop sustainable SAP reporting solutions efficiently by following the architectural direction and technical design approved by the solution/technical lead so that projects are completed safely, with quality, within budget, and on time.
  • Maintain reporting solutions by performing operational routine sustainment activities efficiently and on time to support multiple project and sustainment teams across the organization.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams by validating business/information requirements, translating them into a conceptual business design model, and troubleshooting development items to deliver sustainable technical solutions.
  • Monitor solution development by providing timely status updates to the team lead on work progress and current issues to ensure that the work is packaged and structured according to standards.
  • Document technical designs, solutions, and new work procedures by creating process flows, job aids, and standard operating procedures to support end users in the organization.
  • Provide guidance and technical expertise to other groups in the organization on reporting techniques in SAP business warehouse to continuously build capability and capacity

Required

  • Must have 9+ years consulting experience in SAP BW (Business Warehouse)
  • Must have BW/4HANA certification and hands-on experience
  • Strong analytic skills and expertise in SAP EAM, SCM
  • Must have experience with SAP EAM (Enterprise Asset Management Suite) 
  • Must have experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, Microsoft PowerVI
  • Must have experience with: S4HANA, SAP Embedded Analytics
  • Must have experience with: data management practices, data analytics, and self-serve data access
  • Utility industry experience is an asset
  • SAP SCM (Supply Chain Module) experience is an asset
  • Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
  • Advanced working knowledge and experience in at least four of the following areas:
  • Finance
  • Projects

  • Supply Chain
  • Asset Management
  • Environment and Safety
  • Production support
  • Expert technical skills in planning and implementing SAP version upgrades
  • Advanced working knowledge of change management procedures and policies using SAP Solution Manager
  • Advanced working knowledge of SAP implementation - from project initiation, building/configuring/testing the solution, production system cutover, support, and closing
  • Excellent communication skills for professional environment, written and spoken

Additional Information

  • Client requires proof of Covid-19 vaccination to access job site. Providing proof of vaccination is a condition of employment with Ian Martin” for this opportunity.
  • The manager is flexible to consider candidates working remotely for this position. Expectation is that the resource would need to attend the office once per month for up to a week at a time after Jan 2022 so will consider candidates who are willing to travel out to Vancouver as required for project meetings. Candidates based in the Lower Mainland will be given preference.
