Our client, a Canadian global leader in exploration, mine engineering, and environmental protection has an immediate need for two (2) Mill Trainers/Training. This is a contract position for eight (8) months. This role will support Key Lake Operations in Northern Saskatchewan.

  •  Fly In Fly Out Camp accommodations provided
  • Rotation (2 weeks in-2 weeks out, 11 hours a day)
  • Company Charter Flights provided - Departing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

 Description

Responsible for providing Operation Mill training to personnel

 Accountabilities

  • Provide support for the site and ensure compliance to all regulatory and positional requirements
  • Create, analyse, and evaluate training courses while continually improving and looking for opportunities to gain efficiencies in the training program.
  • Adapt the way training is presented, optimize content and update training material, focussing on optimizing training and creating online formats
  • Ensure training evaluations, forms, training hours, training materials are complete, up to date, and accurate and run deficiency reports and training reports
  • Be able to present content both online and in person
  • Ensure position curricula is current and is kept updated as per regulatory, corporate or site requirements, book training rooms, create sessions and identify qualified instructors to assist with non-routine training
  • Be familiar with the systematic approach to training (SAT) process and have direct experience within a previous training capacity
  • Work competently in MS Teams, MS Powerpoint, MS Word, MS Excel and Microsoft 365
  • Be a collaborative team player who is effective at building excellent relationships

 Required

  • 10+ years industrial experience, preferable in a mill or process setting
  • Certificate in Adult Education
  • Experience with offering training online and in person
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven problem-solving abilities
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Assets:
  • Experience using the ADDIE (Analysis Development Design Implement Evaluate) training model
  • Familiar with the systematic approach to training (SAT) process and have direct experience within a previous training capacity
  • Ability and willingness to learn new training courses, become an expert in the training material, and deliver effective training
  • MS Teams, MS Powerpoint, MS Word, MS Excel and Microsoft 365
