Our client, one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada, has an immediate need for a Repeatable Design & Engineering Contract Performance-Contract Administrator. This is a contract position for six (6) months located in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Description

This role supports the Repeatable Design & Engineering Contract Performance Manager with providing contract administration functions: issue work, process PO Rev, invoice follow up, admin for system access, monitor work progress and production schedules. Track performance metrics.

Accountabilities

  • Performs duties associated with contract management/task management functions prepares production commitment plans, assigns responsibility for verifying, expediting and approving plans follows up to adjust schedules and /or expediting performance expectations; reviews purchase requisitions requests
  • Coordinates expediting of work including meeting with vendors to ensure work progress meets schedules, quality and cost factors; prepares contract change orders and/or prepares and negotiates changes or adjustments to contracts; administers contract payment by reviewing invoices
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and save time. Performs unit application review to validate appropriate use of units.
  • Perform administrative tasks on a large volume of contracts and invoices including reviewing and verifying completeness and accuracy of information to support ongoing management of contracts. 
  • Maintain meaningful relationships with stakeholders and suppliers by providing accurate and timely response to contract related administrative requests including effectively translating complex contract language in a concise and simple manner so that the spirit and intent of the contract is achieved. 
  • Act as a subject matter expert by designing, developing, and delivering training on contract administration as well as contributing to business teams’ contract and relationship management initiatives using good knowledge of procurement practices and associated financial policies so that procedures are consistently followed. 
  • Facilitate timely resolution of escalated contract administration related matters by identifying, investigating, and correcting issues including amendment approvals and vendor maintenance, using good knowledge of supply chain management systems, to ensure timely processing of contracts and payments.

Required

  • Must have 4+ years of contract administration experience 
  • Experience working with SAP Supply Chain models (outline agreements, purchase orders, service entry sheets etc.) 
  • Experience with invoicing is an asset
  • High school graduation
  • Certificate in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Advanced typing skills
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Intermediate English skills for professional environment, written and spoken

Additional Information

  • The resource can work from home to start but will be required to work onsite in Edmonds once covid worksite restrictions are lifted.
