Our client, a Canadian global leader in exploration, mine engineering, and environmental protection has an immediate need for Three (3) Mechanical Technologists on multi-discipline projects within the mining industry. This is a contract position for four (4) months. This role will start remotely with the potential to be based out of the Saskatoon office in the future once COVID restrictions lifted.

Accountabilities

  • Perform mechanical design work using 3D modeling tools (AutoCad Plant 3D and 3D Point Cloud) to develop 3D models, 2D drawings on various projects executed within Cameco. 
  • Support Autodesk Vault Implementation for operating and project sites, work with the Project Engineer and Lead to support the development and drawing management activities in the Autodesk Vault System.
  • Work with mechanical engineers in support of development of intelligent P&IDs, 3D modelling, piping and general arrangements, HVAC and other mechanical design drawings
  • Provide support for the development of BOMs and construction work packages
  • Occasional travel to project sites in Northern Saskatchewan may be required

Requirements 

  • 4 to 9 years’ of experience looking to fill at an Intermediate (4 years) and Senior level (9 years)
  • Mechanical designer with experience in 3D modelling in Autodesk Plant3D, working knowledge of CADWorx, Cloudworx, Jetstream 3D Modeling, Navisworks, and AutoCAD in general.
  • Experience with Autodesk Vault implementation and use is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience working with CAD Standards & Procedures preferred
  • Experience with process piping, pumping, equipment and layout design, HVAC and building services required
