*Approximately 10 - 25 hours per fortnight
We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to assist with day to day medical centre duties and to contribute to exciting new projects and campaigns. Key duties include but are not limited to answering incoming phone calls, making patient appointments, submitting patient accounts, miscellaneous paperwork.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to display empathy towards our patients whilst maintaining professionalism when liaising with doctors, specialists and the supporting team.
A "hands on approach" is essential, along with a passion for quality and assurance. If you enjoy being busy and are able to cope under pressure while maintaining that ever important smile on your face, this position could be for you!
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills but most importantly, will have exceptional customer service skills.
Please include your detailed availability in your application cover letter. Shifts are available Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:30am and 10:00pm and Saturdays between the hours of 8:30am - 1:30pm. Shift length ranges from 3 hours to 8.5 hours.
PLEASE NOTE: Applications will only be accepted from candidates that meet the essential criteria below:
*Experienced in medical software, preferably Best Practice.
*Demonstrated experience and ability to use IT systems and software including computers, printers, scanners, fax machines, web browsers, emails, microsoft office, eftpos machines, etc
*In depth understanding of patient billing and MBS Item Numbers
*In depth understanding of Medicare Benefits Schedule, DVA billing and WorkCover billing.
*2+ years experience as a Medical Receptionist in a General Practice Setting.
*Holder of a valid Victorian driver's licence and access to a registered and insured vehicle.
