What You’ll Be Doing
This is a pivotal leadership role at the centre of our tech function. Reporting to our CTO, you’ll be responsible for the strategic management of IT commercial relationships across both Compare the Market and iSelect. Working closely with IT, Finance, Procurement and key execs, you’ll ensure every contract, relationship and dollar spent delivers meaningful value - driving performance, optimising spend and strengthening our vendor ecosystem. This means:
- Leading vendor and contract strategy
- Strengthening commercial partnerships
- Driving financial performance across IT
- Optimising workforce planning
- Delivering high-quality governance and reporting (including boards, committees and regulatory forums)
- Enabling aligned and effective communication across two businesses and two locations
- Acting as a trusted senior liaison
- Maintaining rigour and discretion

What Sets You Apart
We’re looking for a strategic leader who understands both the detail and the bigger picture - and how to connect the two. You’ll have:
- Strong experience in IT commercial, vendor or contract management within complex environments
- Sharp financial acumen, with hands-on experience managing budgets, forecasts and cost optimisation initiatives (and can clearly articulate the story behind the numbers)
- An understanding of tech commercial models (including licensing, utilisation and vendor dynamics, particularly with major providers like AWS and Microsoft)
- You’re super organised, comfortable managing competing priorities and navigating ambiguity without losing focus
- A history of delivering measurable value, whether through cost savings, improved contract outcomes or stronger vendor performance
- The ability to communicate with clarity and influence, building trust while keeping work moving forward
