About the role:
As a Construction Supervisor based in the ACT, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient delivery of electricity infrastructure projects across the region. Leading field-based teams and contractors, you will oversee construction activities from planning through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with project managers, clients, stakeholders and operational teams, you will provide strong site leadership while ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively manage multiple priorities, foster a positive safety culture and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. You will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of critical infrastructure projects that help power local communities and contribute to Australia's evolving energy landscape.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Supervising construction crews and subcontractors to deliver project outcomes safely and efficiently.
- Coordinating daily field activities and allocating resources to meet project schedules.
- Monitoring site safety performance and ensuring compliance with WHS policies and procedures.
- Conducting pre-starts, toolbox talks and site safety inspections.
- Managing construction quality requirements and ensuring works meet project specifications.
- Liaising with clients, authorities, suppliers and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Identifying and mitigating project risks while resolving site-based issues promptly.
- Supporting project planning, reporting and progress tracking activities.
- Promoting a collaborative team culture while mentoring and developing field personnel.
About you:
To be selected for interview, your resume should highlight your proven experience supervising construction activities within utilities, infrastructure, energy or related industries. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety leadership, effective stakeholder engagement and successful project delivery. We are seeking an organised and solutions-focused professional who can confidently lead field teams, manage subcontractors and navigate complex operational environments. Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach and the ability to deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment will be highly regarded. Experience working on electricity infrastructure projects and knowledge of relevant industry regulations will be advantageous.
