About the role

We are currently looking for an experienced Pipeline Operator Technician with an Electrical & Instrumentation background to operate and maintain gas facilities and pipelines.

You will play an integral part of the maintenance team and will be working on state-of-the-art facilities along with the operations and maintenance of the pipeline and easement. This position will be based in Biloela on a 14:14 roster arrangement.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Responding to incidents and emergencies
  • Operation and maintenance of high-pressure natural gas equipment
  • Maintenance of valves and other mechanical equipment
  • Patrol and maintenance of the pipeline right of way
  • Liaison work with landholders and public authorities
  • A wide variety of pipeline duties including mechanical work, documentation and records maintenance
  • Inter / intra state travel required at times

About You

The successful candidate will have a trade qualification with proven experience working as a member of an Operations and Maintenance team in the gas transmission or gas processing industry.

You will bring the following qualifications, skills and experience with you:

  • Drivers licence (MR Class desirable)
  • Demonstrated electrical and instrumentation experience
  • High pressure gas experience
  • Centrifugal Compressor operation and maintenance
  • Personal computing skills utilising Microsoft Office systems
