About the role

We’re seeking a collaborative and people-focused Delivery Manager to lead the safe and efficient delivery of our works program at our fast paced Thomastown depot. You’ll manage a diverse team of Crew Leaders & Field Staff, working with Schedulers, and Admin professionals, fostering a culture of care, accountability, and continuous improvement. With a strong focus on planning, coaching, and resource coordination, you’ll ensure we meet performance, safety, and customer expectations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, empowering others, and driving operational excellence through inclusive leadership and adaptive thinking.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Managing the day to day operations of a fast paced depot in tandem with functional managers across .
  • Supporting and developing team members through coaching, clear communication, and regular feedback to foster growth and engagement.
  • Collaborating and coordinating crew resources to ensure alignment with daily and forward work programs, promoting predictable and productive workdays.
  • Overseeing and validating job planning and documentation to ensure readiness and smooth field execution.
  • Responding and adapting to faults and emergencies with care and urgency, ensuring timely resolution and continuous service.
  • Managing and aligning resources, capacity, and auxiliary services to support effective work delivery.
  • Capturing and applying field insights to improve planning, reporting, and work closure accuracy.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and contractors to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Championing and promoting a culture of safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement across all aspects of operations.

Ideal Candidate Summary

A supportive and strategic leader with deep experience in electrical utility operations, passionate about team development, safety, and continuous improvement. You will have thrived in similarly dynamic environments, balancing operational discipline with empathy, collaboration, and adaptability.

  • Certificate III or higher in electrical utilities, power systems, or project management
  • Extensive time spent in utility operations with leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of Victorian electricity networks and VESI rules
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, and digital work systems
  • Skilled in planning, scheduling, and fault response coordination
  • Knowledgeable in HSEQ frameworks and safety legislation
  • Excellent communicator with a collaborative and coaching mindset
