Exceptional opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our expanding Projects & Infrastructure division in a critical site based position.

The Zinfra Projects and Infrastructure business is the trusted partner to deliver construction projects in Transmission Lines, Substations (Green and Brown field), Renewable energy storage and Green Gas infrastructure.

 

About the role: 

We are seeking a new Senior Project Manager to join the team delivering critical energy infrastructure projects focused on transmission line construction. This predominantly site based role will oversee the management of the delivery teams to contribute towards the safe, cost effective, quality provision of service of construction meeting our client’s requirements, KPIs and financial targets of the project(s).

Reporting into the Operations Manager you will be managing transmission line projects typically ranging from $1M - $50M whilst working closely with a team of Project Managers, Construction Managers, Project Engineers, Crew Leaders, technical and support staff.

You will have involvement in full project lifecycles from tender stage through to delivery and testing and commissioning.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Continuously managing and supervising the delivery team.
  • Consistently motivating direct and indirect reports to ensure projects within the portfolio are delivered to specified scope, time frame, allocated budget, and quality.
  • Continuously managing Internal Resources, Subcontractors, Designers, and Suppliers.
  • Ensuring continuous adequate management of internal resources, subcontractors, designers, and suppliers utilizing Zinfra’s processes and procedures.
  • Continuously negotiating and managing subcontracts to the benefit of Zinfra.
  • Ensuring the delivery is programmed efficiently to meet or exceed Zinfra and customer requirements.
  • Consistently achieving Safety Targets for TRIFR and lead indicators.
  • Assisting in continuously developing and maintaining technical procedures and inspection and test reports.
  • Ensuring that all customer and Zinfra reporting requirements are continuously fulfilled.
  • Continuously ensuring all relevant JSAs, SWMS, permits, procedures, and documentation are available across the portfolio.
  • Managing client relationships diplomatically throughout the project delivery process to enhance or maintain business relationships.
  • Actively participating in pre-contract activities (tenders, EOIs, proposals, bids).
  • Developing the Project and Program Delivery Capability.
  • Cultivating high-performing project environments.
  • Managing personnel in accordance with Zinfra policies, ensuring only personnel with appropriate skills and qualifications are employed or assigned.


About you: 

To be selected for interview your resume will need to highlight your experience delivering complex high value transmission line projects.

Additionally your profile will need to highlight:

  • Experience and understanding of the development engineering and / or infrastructure industry (design, procurement and construction)
  • A Strong understanding of legal requirements and obligations in the administration of contracts
  • Extensive networks established with clients, consultants, authorities and contractors
  • Your ability to build, manage and lead a high performance, outcomes oriented team
  • Extensive program and project management experience delivering works with and managing the risks of multiple substantial projects
  • Proven experience driving cultural change given the commercial focus in the business
