About the Role

Kick-start your career with Zinfra as a Trainee Scheduler based in Youngtown, Tasmania. This 2-year fixed-term opportunity is perfect for someone looking to build a long-term career in planning and scheduling within the utilities industry. Working alongside an experienced Scheduling & Planning Coordinator, you'll receive hands-on training, mentoring and support while completing a nationally recognised Certificate in Business.

No previous scheduling experience is required. In this role, you'll gain experience in:

  • Planning and scheduling work for field crews
  • Coordinating resources, contractors and stakeholders
  • Monitoring and updating work programs
  • Using scheduling systems and business tools
  • Reporting, data management and process improvement
  • Supporting the delivery of essential utility and infrastructure projects

This is a great opportunity to develop practical business and coordination skills while building a career in an essential services industry.

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, motivated and keen to learn. You'll bring:

  • Completion of Year 12 and a current driver's licence
  • Experience in administration, customer service, retail, logistics, trades support or a similar environment will be highly regarded.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn

No previous scheduling experience is required. Full training will be provided.
