About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of infrastructure projects valued from $250,000 to $30 million. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be accountable for the safe, commercial and operational delivery of complex construction and maintenance projects for our ACT based client Evo energy.

This is a hands-on leadership role operating in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment where sound judgement, practical problem solving and decisive leadership are essential. You will oversee project planning, commercial performance, stakeholder engagement, risk management and project governance while leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful outcomes. Working closely with clients, contractors, regulators and internal leaders, you will play a critical role in delivering infrastructure that keeps communities connected and energy flowing safely and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of gas infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule and financial targets are achieved.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, contracts and commercial performance across projects valued up to $50 million.
  • Drive project governance, risk management and compliance with regulatory, client and Zinfra requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, regulators and delivery teams to achieve project outcomes.
  • Lead and develop project teams while fostering a safety-first culture and maintaining accountability for performance and results.

About You

You are a capable and practical project leader who thrives in complex operational environments. You bring strong technical and commercial capability, make sound decisions under pressure, and take ownership of outcomes. You are resilient, collaborative and comfortable leading teams and stakeholders through challenging project delivery environments while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer outcomes.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline, and/or significant trade and project delivery experience.
  • Demonstrated success delivering major construction, utilities, infrastructure or multidisciplinary projects, preferably within gas, utilities, electrical or civil environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasting, contracts, risk and stakeholder expectations.
  • Proven ability to lead project teams, influence stakeholders and constructively challenge to achieve better outcomes.
  • Current Australian Driver Licence and a strong commitment to safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
