About the role

The primary focus is completing the preventative maintenance and fault response/repair of equipment in the field.

In this role, you will be part of a team maintaining several brownfield and greenfield sites, which include Terminal and Zone substations and power distribution infrastructure on the AusNet Transmission Electricity Network.

The type of equipment includes;

  • Oil insulated transformers and their associated mechanisms
  • A variety of oil and gas insulated circuit breakers
  • All equipment in Terminal & Zone substations including isolators and earthing switch gear
  • Regulators and field devices (ACR’s)

About You

You’re a qualified and safety conscious electrician with proven experience maintaining complex electrical systems in field environments. You enjoy hands on work, problem solving, and contributing to a high performing team.

  • Certificate III Electrotechnology & Electrical Licence (A Grade)
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Exposure and competent using field mobility devices, PCs including Microsoft Suite and ideally SAP
  • Previous experience HV Operating and Application for Access Experience (desirable)
