Lead a High-Performing Team Delivering Critical Infrastructure Projects

We are looking for a collaborative and people-focused CIC Team Leader to lead a team of Project Managers across our Customer Initiated Capital (CIC) program. This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys coaching others, bringing teams together, and driving successful project outcomes through communication, organisation, and partnership.

You’ll play a key role in supporting project delivery across critical utility infrastructure projects while fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.

About the Role

As the CIC Team Leader, you will provide leadership, guidance, and operational support across a portfolio of customer projects. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders, clients, and delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with a strong customer focus.

This role combines people leadership with delivery oversight and offers the opportunity to influence how teams collaborate, plan, and succeed together.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of Project Managers
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment
  • Support team development through regular coaching and feedback
  • Balance workloads and support effective resource planning
  • Oversee project delivery to ensure quality, safety, and customer expectations are met
  • Build strong relationships across planning, design, construction, and client teams
  • Manage priorities and support teams through challenges and escalations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and encourage innovative thinking
  • Provide reporting, forecasting, and delivery insights to leadership

About You

You are a supportive and adaptable leader who enjoys helping others succeed. You bring a calm, solutions-focused approach and are comfortable building relationships across a range of stakeholders.

You may come from utilities, infrastructure, construction, engineering, or project delivery environments and will bring:

  • Experience leading or mentoring project delivery teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative leadership style with a focus on coaching and development
  • Experience with project planning, resource coordination, and delivery oversight
  • Familiarity with systems such as SAP, Microsoft Project, and reporting tools like Power BI
  • A commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
