About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-voltage transmission line projects across New South Wales for our client, Transgrid. This role is responsible for safely delivering projects that meet client requirements, program milestones, quality standards and commercial objectives.
Working across a portfolio of transmission line works, you will oversee project planning, execution and stakeholder engagement while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and governance requirements. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, contractors, clients and external stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
This position offers a flexible working arrangement, with site attendance required based on project and operational needs rather than being permanently site-based. It is an excellent opportunity for a project professional who enjoys autonomy, building strong client relationships and contributing to critical infrastructure that supports Australia's energy transition.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Managing the end-to-end delivery of transmission line projects across NSW, ensuring safety, quality, time and budget objectives are achieved.
- Leading project planning, forecasting and performance monitoring activities to meet contractual and commercial requirements.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with Transgrid representatives, contractors and key project stakeholders.
- Managing contractor performance and ensuring works are completed in accordance with project schedules and quality expectations.
- Driving effective project governance, risk management and compliance with Zinfra systems, processes and standards.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement across project delivery activities.
- Coordinating project resources, ensuring personnel and subcontractors are appropriately qualified and supported.
- Managing project financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, variations and margin improvement initiatives.
- Promoting and championing a strong safety culture through site visits, audits, leadership and stakeholder engagement.

Ensure your resume shares details of:
- Demonstrated Project Management experience delivering transmission lines, utilities, power, civil or major infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) activities and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Proven ability to deliver projects against safety, schedule, quality and financial targets.
- Strong stakeholder management experience, particularly with tier-one utilities, asset owners or government clients.
- Sound commercial and financial management capability, including forecasting, cost control and contract administration.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites across NSW as required.
