About the role
We’re seeking a safety-focused Team Leader / Civil Supervisor to lead multi-disciplinary contractor teams across complex underground civil utility environments. This role is ideal for someone ready to step up from a Leading Hand position, with strong technical skills and the ability to manage site setup, project delivery, and client communication from start to finish. The projects are predominantly electrical conduit laying in the road verge, with most projects lasting from 1 – 6 months.
Key Responsibilities include
- Supervise and coordinate multiple contractor teams across underground civil works
- Set up and manage project sites from mobilisation to completion
- Interpret plans and scopes of work, identifying and communicating deviations
- Rapidly escalate onsite risks and issues to project managers and clients
- Ensure safety, environmental and quality standards are met
- Conduct site audits and risk assessments
- Maintain accurate records and utilise technology for documentation
About You
You’re a hands-on leader with a strong civil background and a keen eye for detail. You thrive in dynamic environments and are confident managing multiple work fronts.
- Trade or technical qualification in civil or electrical infrastructure (desirable)
- Experience supervising underground civil works and multi-disciplinary teams
- Proven ability to read and interpret plans and scopes of work
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working around existing utilities and managing site risks
