About the role

We’re seeking experienced Cable Jointers to join our Underground team based out of our Tullamarine depot. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of one of our key network services contracts.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the maintenance and construction on customer distribution, sub-transmission cable assets.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Jointing and termination of underground HV/LV power cables and associated civil activities
  • Adhere to Company Policies, Quality Systems and Health, Safety and Environmental
  • Procedures as well as statutory requirements
  • Emergency response on customer distribution, sub-transmission cable assets

About You

This role is ideal for someone with proven technical expertise, a strong safety-first mindset, and a collaborative approach to working within a team environment.

  • Hold an accredited Certificate III in ESI - Distribution Underground & Victorian Lineworkers Licence – Cable Jointing
  • Proficiency in the required methods of jointing, terminating, insulation and testing of cables
  • Basic knowledge of electrical theory and circuit diagrams
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and time manage with varying degrees of supervision
  • Current Australian driver’s licence, White Card
