Zinfra is looking for an experienced Proposal Manager who leads with collaboration, clarity and confidence. This role shapes the front end of our business, guiding medium to large, often complex proposals valued between $5M and $150M. Your work strengthens our long‑term client partnerships and directly contributes to our growth and competitiveness.
You’ll bring people together across functions, create alignment under pressure, and translate client needs into thoughtful, compelling and commercially strong proposals. You’ll partner closely with Account Managers, Operations, SMEs, Partners and governance groups to deliver submissions that reflect Zinfra’s capability, values and commitment to quality.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead end‑to‑end management of RFIs and RFPs, ensuring proposals are complete, compliant and delivered with care
- Develop and communicate clear win strategies, themes and value propositions
- Build and guide proposal teams, including SMEs, partners and stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration
- Facilitate steering committees, risk workshops, estimate reviews and governance gates with structure and clarity
- Ensure client needs, drivers and expectations are deeply understood and addressed
- Oversee commercial, legal, operational and HSEQ reviews with a balanced, detail‑focused approach
- Support client clarifications, negotiations and presentations with strong communication and professionalism
- Lead lessons‑learned processes and embed continuous improvement into future bids
- Manage smooth, well‑supported handovers to Operations for awarded contracts
- Maintain organised, accurate documentation in SharePoint and Salesforce
Experience
- Extensive experience in proposal management and/or project management within infrastructure construction or utilities
- Proven success in work winning, revenue generation and pre‑contracts environments
- Experience across construct‑only, D&C, EPC, BOOM, asset maintenance, inspections and O&M proposals
- Background working with partners, subcontractors and joint ventures
- Strong technical, engineering or commercial understanding of infrastructure and utilities
- Experience using Salesforce and SharePoint
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage competing deadlines with composure
Skills & Knowledge
- Tertiary qualifications in STEM, Business or Commercial disciplines, or other relevant demonstrated experience
- Strong proposal planning, writing and document management capability
- Commercial and contractual acumen
- Understanding of pricing benchmarks and market dynamics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe and Microsoft Project
- Skilled in negotiation, influencing and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, accessible messaging

This role can be located in QLD or NSW - Hybrid
