About the role 

We’re looking for a strategic and commercially minded State Manager to lead a high-impact portfolio within Tasmania.  

Based in Hobart, this critical role is our senior in-state representative. Key accountabilities will include; driving program delivery, stakeholder engagement, and business growth. This is a rare opportunity to shape Tasmania’s energy future while leading a highly capable team and delivering real outcomes for the community and our client.  

Key Responsibilities include 

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex programs across Operations and Maintenance and Capital Projects.  
  • Represent the business with Tas Networks and senior stakeholders 
  • Drive business development and growth opportunities 
  • Oversee governance, reporting, and performance across multiple projects and programs 
  • Champion health, safety, environment, innovation, and continuous improvement 
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team with a focus on succession and capability 
  • Leverage digital tools and data to enhance delivery 
  • Engage with regulators and industry bodies 

About You 

To set yourself up for success in Zinfra, you likely come from a similar role in a comparable industry and are seeking a role with great breadth where you can influence, educate, and engage a wide stakeholder group. 

  • Executive-level experience in utilities, infrastructure, or related sectors 
  • Strong commercial acumen and contract management expertise 
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills 
  • Experience in program governance, change leadership, and strategic planning 
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, business, or project management  

You showcase the confidence, capability and prioritising skills to navigate competing demands of the various business groups. You are autonomous, thrive in diverse work environments and are able to effectively manage the often changing priorities. Finally, you couple a 'can do' attitude with a positive, friendly demeanour. These traits will ensure success in this critical role.
