About the role
We are currently looking for an experienced Pipeline Operator to operate and maintain gas facilities and pipelines, based out of Roma. You will play an integral part of the Gas Transmission and Networks maintenance team and will be working on state-of-the-art facilities along with the operations of the pipeline and easements, on a 2:2 roster.
In this position, you will be responsible for completing planned and corrective maintenance activities on such assets including but not limited to Trunk Receiving Stations, Package Offtake Stations, Primary Receiving Stations, Transmission Pipelines, Distribution Network, Renewable Energy Assets and Compressor Stations. Other activities will include:
Key Responsibilities include
- Operation and maintenance of high-pressure Coal Seam Gas Compression and Processing Facility
- Undertaking of maintenance in accordance with Jemena / Zinfra Policies and Procedures
- Liaison with Asset Management and Engineering teams
- A wide variety of pipeline duties including mechanical work, documentation and records maintenance
- Establish and maintain a Safe Worksite complying with all OHS&E requirements
- Responding to Gas related incidents and emergencies
- Intrastate travel and participation in rotating on-call roster
About You
The successful candidate will be a trade qualified Mechanical Fitter with proven experience working as a member of an Operations and Maintenance team in the gas transmission or gas processing industry, as we as the following:
- High pressure gas and gas processing experience
- Reciprocating / Screw Compressor operation and maintenance
- High analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficient computer skills including use of MS Office suit
- A team player who is safety focused and has a can do attitude
