About the role: 

We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to, deliver electricity projects. The focus for 2026 includes line and feeder upgrades, underground works, and potential zone substation projects.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Promoting a strong health, safety, and environmental culture by modelling safe behaviours and ensuring compliance with Zinfra’s HSE standards and non-negotiables.
  • Leading investigations and audits, ensuring timely implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions to prevent incident recurrence.
  • Providing clear direction and oversight on safe work practices, including reviewing and stopping work when risks to people or the environment are identified.
  • Ensuring adherence to Zinfra’s Project Management framework, including verifying and approving Project Management Plans and stakeholder engagement.
  • Overseeing project governance by managing change requests, tracking corrective actions, and facilitating project closure with lessons learned.
  • Reviewing project schedules and performance data to ensure timely delivery and robust program governance.
  • Facilitating cost estimate reviews and approvals, contributing to business case development in line with Zinfra’s financial authority policies.


About you: 

To be selected for interview your resume should demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience in engineering or construction project management, ideally within utility-based infrastructure projects.
  • Bachelor of Engineering (preferably recognised by Engineers Australia) and/or strong technical understanding of engineering and construction disciplines.
  • Completion of, or commitment to obtaining, an Advanced Diploma of Project Management and Certified Practising Project Director accreditation within 12 months.
  • Proven ability to apply strategic thinking, sound judgement, and commercial insight to deliver complex projects.
  • Proficiency in recognised project management methodologies such as PMBOK, with demonstrated experience in risk management, contract/vendor oversight, and HSE leadership.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to prepare board-level reports and engage effectively with stakeholders.
